Orthodontic Office Closure

Dr. VanderWaal will retire and close the Office

on August 31, 2023

I am writing this to all my past and current patients.

I am writing this with mixed emotions to share the news that I have made the difficult  decision to close my orthodontic practice effective August 31, 2023,

Over the years, it has been my utmost pleasure and privilege to serve as your orthodontist and to witness the positive transformations and beautiful smiles that have resulted from our collective efforts. It has always been my mission to provide exceptional care and to contribute to the overall well being  of my patients. However, due to unforeseen health reasons, I have come to the realization that I must step away from my professional responsibilities. This decision was not made lightly as I deeply value the relationships I have built with each and every one of my patients.

Please know that your ongoing orthodontic treatment and oral health are of the upmost importance to me. We understand that this news may raise several questions. Please be assured that your individual care plan will be discussed in depth at your next scheduled appointment, including the next steps in both your orthodontic care and financial status. Our community is fortunate to have a variety of orthodontists who have the skill and training to continue your unique orthodontic treatment. We are happy to arrange for the transfer of your records to their capable hands. You may email us at [email protected] to request a copy of your records after signing the Release of Records Form.

You may contact our office at 309-662-3355 to schedule your future appointments or address any concerns regarding your treatment plan. Rest assured that we value the safe and seamless transfer of your care. I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can during this transfer period.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for choosing me as your orthodontic provider. It has been an honor to be a part of your life, and am grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in me.

Warmest regards,

William K. VanderWaal D.D.S.
